It's true that the better the writing, the more = the traits work together. It may become difficult to identify the reason we like the writing. It helps to concentrate fully on the trait. I have the rubric right in front of me as I go through an example. I refer to it several times, separating the identifiers over and over. In a piece that is generally pleasing, this takes more effort. It does get easier with time and practice. From: Sgreen70@aol.com Date: Wed, 4 Aug 1999 00:04:04 EDT I haven't been around the past week. My nephew was visiting from Kansas. = Tomorrow I start orientation for school---already! Here is a question for = you that is not related to 6 traits at all: is Blair Witch Project based = on a true story? For some reason I have been under the assumption that it is = and my husband disagrees. Sherry/4/AZ ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Subject: E-Mail is back! From: Susan Nixon <susan@desertskyone.com> Date: Wed, 04 Aug 1999 09:12:10 -0700 Okay, my e-mail has returned! I've been getting your messages, but I couldn't get out. I will catch up with messages tomorrow. We are working on the trait of Organization this week. The rubrics are posted on the web site: http://6Traits.CyberSpaces.net/ I also have the first page of the said synonyms up. Working on the second and the strategies pages for Word Choice and Sentence Fluency. We are a little short on strategies for SF. I did pick up a few more ideas in my last day of training today, when they were training us to be trainers. = =3D) I have lots to share with you! Does anyone have any thoughts that have helped = them understand sentence fluency in its own right? Thank you for your time and = your input! :) Sherry/4/AZ ---------------------------------------------------------------------- End of 6Traits Digest -- To unsubscribe, send any message at all to: 6Traits-off@.
