I give the Junk Food writing a level 2. There seemed to be an attempt (unsuccessful) at writing ideas (wrong). Misuse of homonyms and simple words spelled incorrectly led me to give this a weak 2. The quilt writing made me smile. I was right there with the author. Conventions were strong, but not yet a "Wow!", so I gave the piece a level = 5. This final piece, about My Bike, I gave a high level 1/low level 2. While = it did consistently talk about the bike, the organization was extremely = weak and the lack of capitals and incorrect spelling was a deterent to reading the piece.
