>Last year for my evaluation, I tore out pictures of a variety of people
from old magazines. I laminated the pictures. Some of them were of
children, some adults, young, old, etc., but the main element in each was
the person. Then I passed the laminated pictures out - one to a child,
turned over so that no one else could see the picture. Each child then
wrote a letter from that person to Santa. (You could have them write
someone else just as easily). After all the letters were written, the
students returned their pictures to me and I put them up on the wall. =
Then
we read the students work and let the class guess who would have written
the letter. This activity was a great exercise in making inferences based
on character appearance and writing from a different point of view.
