Hi Ann,
I am mainly a "lurker" on our SixTraitsMailring because I am a principal =
and
not a classroom teacher, but I thought this was an area I could =
contribute.
I love reading everyone's experiences on 6traits because we are =
implementing
them in our school/district and I frequently share your tips and resources
with my teachers. Hope these will help your neighbor. Peggy

Substitute Teacher's Help Page (some great information and links although =
I
found that some of the links were no longer available)

The following resource is found on the above site under links. I saved =
it
and have found it very useful. This link will tell you more about the
handbook, allow you to view the Contents and send an email to request it. =

It also includes comments from readers.

Having Fun Substitute Teaching- Its Free! This book was written by a
substitute teacher and author of this site, Jon Waite. It is intended as a
resource for who are considering substitute teaching as a career or as as
means to build a positive reputation in a school district. It is a fact =
that
substitute teaching in a district will drastically improve your chances of
being hired as a full-time teacher. You can't beat the price! It is a free
download that you can request, and if you decide to keep and use it they
consider it "Share Literature" and ask you to send in a $10 contribution. =
