My kids spent about two weeks exploring Kid Pix- blowing everything up and
erasing to get a picture.

Then, a group of kids made illustrations for their individual projects
related to Harry Potter. One group made a depiction of the inside of
Hagrid,s cottage based on the description in the book. Another group made =
a
picture of a Quiddich field on one slide and a list of rules on another
slide and followed that with a scoreboard of their own design that would
show the various ways one can score in Quiddich.

We are about to enter "Young Author's Week". A couple of children decided
to make really fancy book covers using the mix functions on Kid Pix. They
ended up with marbled covers and end papers.

After spring break we are going to learn how to use the puppet functions =
of
Kid Pix Studio Deluxe. We have a set of books called Twice Upon a Time
Tales. These depict common fairy tales that continue into the next
generation. We are going to make puppets for them and present a show to =
the
primary grades.

I used to have a list of Greek and Latin base words and another of the
common prefixes and suffixes as well as those used in medical terminology.
They were lost in a flood. Could you please share your list of Greek =
roots?
I would like to begin rebuilding that file.
