2012 Child of a Hero Quilts

American Hero Quilts

That is the home page of the group with which I have been working for more than seven years to create quilts for wounded American soldiers and, when we can, children who have lost a parent to the war on terror. I haven't made nearly as many children's quilts, but I have enjoyed every one I have been able to make.

Click on the link above for more information, and how you can help with donations for postage, as well.

These blocks came from a variety of places: The center arrows are from Dessa, who makes sample blocks for Quilters Cache; the house blocks are from Gail on Trading Fabric and QOR Yahoo lists; the Friendship Stars were donated by friends on the Beehive Google group; the beepie blocks were made by me, and the heart blocks were left over from Trading Fabric Yahoo list Hugs quilts.
