San Francisco, CA

Fran and I took a trip to northern California in October for the Pacific International Quilt Show. Some of the quilt pictures linked are in the table below. We also spent a day in San Francisco and stayed in Fran's uncle's "flat," as he calls it. I wish I could have taken good pictures of the lights of the city from there, as they were unforgettable. However, I got these pictures the next morning, from the flat's balcony, before we went to the DeYoung Museum to see the Gee's Bend quilts, which we were not allowed to photograph. It was the Grand Re-opening of the museum, after major remodeling, so there were bands playing, and the mayor coming to speak. We left as the mayor was arriving, but you will find one picture of a band.

This is Presidio Park, I think.

We wound up here by taking a wrong turn.
